This error may be resolved by refreshing the DBC (DataBase Configuration) file. If you are concerned about data loss, please make a back up copy of your DBC file before completing the following steps.

  1. Open Capture CIP and any design. The design will not be edited or changed as you complete these steps.
  2. Select Options > CIS Configuration from the menu. This opens the CIS Configuration File window.

  3. Select the Setup button that is located in the upper right. This opens the Configure Database window.

  4. Select the Visibility check box that is located in the first line of the Configuration area of the screen.
  5.  Select the OK button.
  6. Approve any windows that prompt you to save changes. Your selection returns you to the CIS Configuration File windows.
  7. Select the Setup button again.
  8. To undo what is just setup, uncheck the Visibility check box that is located in the first line of the Configuration area.
  9. Click the OK button.
  10. Approve any windows the prompt you to save changes. the CIS Configuration File window redisplays.
  11. Select the OK button to complete the process.

These steps refresh the DBC, meaning it looks at the database and updates the DBC file by matching it to the database. The DBC was updated without adding a new table. If you want to add a new table, you need to create a new DBC file.
