I am having a major issue importing DXF file when creating the board outline.

  1. I am getting there from Design Workflow -> Board Outline -> Import -> DXF
  2. The file is attached
  3. If I don’t map a layer, my system reports success but nothing appears in my design
  4. When I do map the layer to Design_Outline, then the import fails and complains about every segment (straight line or arc) of the shape I am trying to import.
    What is the issue?

 

Solution

For a board outline, you will need to import the data to the BOARD GOEMETRY/OUTLINE subclass then use the lines to create a shape on the DESIGN_OUTLINE subclass.
