When I open CIS Explorer I have access to datasheet links that open a PDF page. However, I want to change the default application that opens the CIS Explorer link to the PDF datasheet.  How can I do this?


Solution

The CIS Explorer, links to datasheets are by default, set to the .PDF extension. When you click a link, it will open up in PDF format. However, you can change the default application that opens the link as described in the steps that follow. 


  1. Right-click the *.PDF link.

  2. Select Properties > General (tab) > Change.

  3. Select the other application with which you want to open the link.

  4. Save the changes. 


Now, when you click the PDF link in CIS Explorer, it will open the .PDF file in the same application as you specified in Step 3 above.
