I want to represent Conformal coating in the PCB Editor. How is this done?


Answer

You may add a new User Defined subclass "Conformal_coat" by selecting the menu items Setup > More > Subclasses and completing the steps that follow. 

  1. Click the Class Ellipsis button to open the Define Subclass dialog. The screen image that follows shows the Define Subclass dialog for the MANUFACTURING Class.  



  2. Enter the subclass name into the New Subclass input field. Then press your keyboard Enter key.

  3. Verify the subclass is successfully added by reviewing the verification message presented in the lower part of the dialog.
