Question

I am unable to download footprints and symbols from Ultra Librarian due to a 003 error message.


Solution

The UL download preferences to OrCAD need to be setup as follows. 

  1. Open the UL for OrCAD client from Capture.



  2. Login using your account credentials and in the top right select the ‘Hello User’ drop-down and select Edit Download Settings.



  3. Enter the path download directories UL Footprints, Symbols, PAD and STEP directories.

    You may want to keep the files all in one location, such as C:\SPB_Data for example.
     
  4. Re-attempt to download a part. If you continue to experience trouble with the download, contact techsupport@ema-eda.com for assistance.
