I just installed my OrCAD products. However, when I try to launch the application I am getting an error message that tells me “Access is denied.”


Suggested Solution

If after installing your OrCAD products, (17.x) you receive an “Access is denied” error message you need to ensure the installation was run from setup.exe as an administrator.

If setup was installed as administrator, then the next step for checking into the cause of this error is to redownload the setup files since they may be corrupted.

You may also be able to solve the issue by changing the setup method. If setup was run from Download Manager try manually installing the setup.exe files.
